Give your child a chance to put down the screens and get creative! Our arts and crafts program is a fun, hands-on space where kids can make, explore, experiment, and express themselves through art.

Each session features a new mix of exciting projects, from painting and drawing to sculpting, crafting, decorating, and building. Kids get to work with different materials, colors, textures, and techniques while creating something they can be proud of and take home.

Most importantly, it’s about having fun, making friends, and enjoying the simple experience of creating with your own two hands.

No tablets. No screens. No pressure. Just hands-on creativity, big imaginations, and lots of fun.

Arts & Crafts FAQs

Children must be 7-12 years old to enroll.

Please refer to the program pages for the most up-to-date information regarding start and end dates for the program. 

The maximum number each class is 4-6 children.

You may cancel at any time during the month; however, please note that session fees are billed monthly and are non-refundable. Your child’s seat is reserved for the entire month. To cancel, please call 313-663-0244 or email support@bayan.org. Be sure to cancel before the 1st of the following month to avoid being billed for the new month.

As soon as you complete and submit the online application, it will be placed in the queue of applications. You will receive a call from our office to discuss your application.
The online application provides more details regarding scholarship eligibility.

Unfortunately there is no installment plan available, however, your family may be eligible for the Scholarship Program to save on costs.

We can't guarantee it. We encourage all families to register as soon as they can when enrollment for the upcoming program year opens. You may call or send us an email to see if there is an update on the status of your application. 
Yes. Please let us know if you would like to remain in the center with your child before you do.
Yes a one-day trial may be granted if the program is not at full capacity. A parent will need to remain with their child the entire time during this time.
Yes, all staff members in the center are required to pass a comprehensive state and federal background check.
Bayan is inclusive of all children, regardless of their abilities. As long as our staff are able to safely and appropriately accommodate your child—without compromising their safety, the safety of others, or the overall quality of the program—we will gladly welcome them.
